 | The literature indicates that Zauschneria 'El Tigre'  was found near the top of El Tigre Peak on Santa Cruz Island, California, where it forms low-spreading, silvery mats.  However, in our moist winters, this grows upright.  The narrow, blue-green leaves are a perfect backdrop for the brilliant tubular flowers that form at the terminals of both the main and axillary stems.  The hummingbirds delight in this late summer treat.
