 | China. We have grown Sophora davidii in our Four Seasons Garden for many years and it has only reached 4.5 ft. by 4 ft. Because of the arrangement of its pinnate leaves with small rounded leaflets, it seems very open and see-through in habit. The stems are black, a trait that is most visible in winter after the leaves have fallen. In early summer, terminal racemes bear lovely blue and white pea flowers.
