This West Coast native makes an attractive large, deciduous shrub that is perfect to fill the transition area between a more formal garden and the surrounding woodlands and meadows. Because it it quick to grow, some use it as part of a native hedgerow. The leaves are 3-lobed and are lightly felted on their undersides. In the spring the arching branches are lined with rounded flower-heads that measure about two-inches across. Easy to grow, disease-free and good for native pollinators!

Spring, early summer.  10 ft. x 8 ft.

Creamy White flowers

Sun, Part Shade     Zones 6, 7, 8, 9, 10
