Native to areas of Oklahoma, Texas and New Mexico, Muhelnbergia revechonii has proven itself in our Northwest gardens. Its soft thread-like foliage is light green and gentle to the touch. Older blades dry and curl up toward the base of the plant. This is a warm-season grass and does not bloom until August when its airy bloom spike grows pink and then fades with the season. This has been drought-tolerant in our garden.
