South Africa. Melianthus major 'Antonow's Blue' is a bright blue leafed form that was found in the garden of the late Steven Antonow whose untimely death surprised the garden community in the Northwest. Every time we see its large, bold, primatively toothed foliage, we remember his exceptional garden where we first saw this. The pinnate, evergreen leaves can be as long as 20 inches.
