 | Given the right pH, this flower of Hydrangea 'Alpenglühen' (Alpenglow) (Brugger, 1950) stay consistently red pink through the season.  However, in our slightly acid soil, the mid-sized rounded flowerheads on this mid-sized shrub turn lavender blue and then deep mauve as they age. 
 Early summer to midsummer.  3.5 ft.  x 4 ft.
