Joy Creek Photo Archive (c) all rights reserved	We select seedlings of Cyclamen coum 'Silver Form' from our garden where we look for leaves that are almost entirely silver on their upper surfaces and have a fine line of contrasting green.around their edges. This cyclamen goes entirely dormant during the summer but, by late autumn, we begin to see the rounded leaves seemingly resting flat on the ground. These leaves persist until summer heat begins. The dainty flowers which often emerge with the leaves are short-lived. They are held on short stems and their up-flung petals make them resemble shooting stars. We grow this cyclamen under shade trees, conifers, even under eaves where they seem quite content to follow their own yearly rhythm. Winter to early spring. 2-3 in.
