Clematis montana 'Peveril' (Fretwell, 1979) was raised and selected from seed from China and named by the grower for his nursery, Peveril Clematis Nursery in England. The 4-sepaled flowers have a prominent central boss of creamy filaments with yellow anthers. This is a late-blooming C. montana for those that like to extend the season of bloom. All of our Clematis are two year old plants that are suitable for immediate planting in your garden.

Early summer to midsummer.  20 ft.

These vigorous, tall vines have lovely rugged foliage and produce masses of flowers in spring. Because they bloom on the previous year's growth, they should not be hard pruned. Cut back or tidy up after bloom.
