In 2011, we trialed a group of garden chrysanthemums we had purchased to see how they would hold up during the year in our garden. Sadly, most of them declined and died within the first year. Chrysanthemum 'Anthem' is the only one that has survived and flourished. There really is nothing quite so eye-catching as the bright yellow flowers against the cold gray skies of October and November. We always cut them and bring them in for Thanksgiving displays.
