We originally received this as a trial plant with the name Aster 'Glenview' from Intrinsic Perennial Gardens. Over the years, it has become a favorite. Its dense shrubby habit belies it's parentage from the heath aster, A. ericoides. It is ideal on sunny (or part shady) banks like the one where we planted it. There it forms a wonderful cascading cover. When it blooms, it is smothered in tiny white composite flowers. Because Aster `First Snow' blooms later than many perennials, it is a particularly welcome addition to the autumn garden. This has recently been renamed Symphyotrichum ericoides 'First Snow'.

October.  18-24 in. x 40 in.
