We thank our friend Tamara Paulat for enriching our garden with this lovely, late-blooming aster. Aster ageratoides 'Ezo Murasaki' stands upright to present its dense purple bounty of flowers to contrast with the surrounding yellows and oranges of autumn. Individual flowers have rounded petals and golden centers. This spreads enthusiastically so be prepared to down-size from year to year. The extra work will be worth it!
