Aster novi-belgii 'Patricia Ballard' was bred at Old Court Nurseries in England by the eminent Percy Picton in 1957. One important feature of this cultivar is the fact that it blooms down the stem not simply at the top of the stem. This offers the gardener more flower power. Combine this with the brilliantly colored, double flowers and you have a classic. Although it is clump-forming, it is recommended that you divide it from time to time to keep the plant in scale.

Late summer to early autumn.  36 in. x 30 in.
