We raised this from seed from Ron Ratko. We have compared this native to Pulsatilla vulgaris and find that the foliage appears more dissected and grows more tightly to the ground. The finely haired flowers have purple reverses and red purple interiors with bright golden stamens. They are held outward on ten-inch stems.
Late spring to summer. 4 in. x 8 in.
