Zauschneria garettii `Orange Carpet' is a herbaceous, clump-forming perennial that is outstanding as a ground cover on a dry hillside or spilling over a hot wall. The soft green leaves are somewhat hairy to the touch. Masses of scarlet, tubular flowers continue until the autumn. This is rhizomatous but is not difficult to control.
