Most gardeners plant California fuchsia for their showy orange to scarlet flowers. This selection, however, adds an unexpected color to the flowers of this spreading, herbaceous perennial. We grow Zauschneria californica 'Solidarity Pink' in a no-water border where its pale flowers work well with companions Aster 'Purple Dome' and Pennisetum aleupecuroides 'Hameln'. We have underplanted 'Solidarity Pink' with small early spring bulbs which will take center stage when the plant is dormant in the spring.

Summer to autumn.  12 in. x 20 in.
