We grow this large, semi-evergreen shrub in our Point Garden where it receives only occasional water and is exposed to the sun much of the day. The semi-glossy, rounded leaves can measure up to 4.5 inches long and 2.5 inches at their widest. They are lightly hairy on their reverses. In the autumn, the very oldest leaves that are preparing to fall take on yellow and red tones. For the most part though, the foliage of Viburnum x burkwoodii that stays on the shrub through the winter is green, sometimes with a flash of burgundy. The pale pink flowers have a spicy fragrance.

Mid- to late spring.   8 ft. x 8 ft.
