Our friends at XERA Plants introduced us to Salvia muelleri for use in a dryland garden. The small evergreen shrublet blooms all summer into the fall complementing a wide-range of perennials as they contribute their seasonal interest. The semi-glossy, small, spoon-shaped foliage is aromatic. Cut this back above new growth at the end of winter to keep it from getting leggy.
