Clematis ladakhiana is a subtly beautiful clematis which rewards the careful viewer. The widely opened flowers of orange-yellow have upturned tips and are flushed with red on their reverses. The narrow foliage is an appealing blue green. This is very beautiful grown in conifers or large shrubs or even allowed to scramble over a stump. We received our original plant from a friend of the nursery, James Earl, who raised it from seed from plant explorer Chris Chadwell.
