Joy Creek Photo Archive (c) all rights reserved	SE US. These Clematis crispa plants have been raised from wild collected seeds sent to us by a customer and clematis enthusiast. This somewhat woody vine rambles nicely on midsized trellises, fences and on deciduous shrubs. The periwig-shaped flowers have sharply recurved and rolled sepals. The flowers often have a blue cast to them. Our specimen plant blooms most of the summer. The flowers have a sweet fragrance which is never cloying. Amazing seedheads add a sculptural element to the vine in the late summer and autumn. Midsummer to mid-autumn. 6-7 ft. White/Blush Violet flowers *Sun, Part Shade Zones 5, 6, 7, 8, 9*
An herbaceous clematis. Cut back the old wood at the end of winter to clean up the plant.
