Clematis 'Girenas' (L. Bakevicius, 1994) was named for a Lithuanian pilot who crashed in Germany during a flight home from New York. The pink flowers have a red purple bar and the anthers are dark pink. This is described as being richer in color than Clematis 'Piilu'.
