Cistus crispus is a prostrate shrublet that has narrow green leaves that are wavy along their edges. One touch and you will feel their sticky resinous quality and also smell their rich aromatic perfume on your fingers. The flowers are not more than an inch-and-a-half wide but are produced in great numbers. Their satin-like sheen is especially attractive. Use this in a mediterranean or dry border.

Early to midsummer.   4-5 in. x 2 ft.

Vivid Pink flowers

Sun     Zones (7), 8, 9
This is a genus of small to medium sized evergreen and semi-evergreen shrubs that are mostly from Europe and North Africa. They thrive in full sun and light, well-drained soil. They are drought tolerant when established.
