Thanks to Richie Steffen who shared this plant that he collected on an expedition to Turkey. In shape the flower is reminiscent of the common columbine (Aquilegia vulgaris). The cup-forming petals of the flower are white contrasting with the surrounding bright mid-blue sepals. The spurs are pale and short. The planting of this aquilegia in Richie's garden is breathtaking.
