This hardy selection has been tested to 0º F. Its dark green somewhat glossy leaves (especially when they are young) remain evergreen, so it is very useful as a structural shrub for smaller gardens. The real delight, of course, comes from late spring throughout the summer when the white flowers perfume the air. The two-inch flowers with 5-to-6 petals nestle at the tip of the stems.
